Is the “Annual Physical” Necessary?

by | Aug 15, 2013 | General Health

The short answer is, “Yes.” But to be more specific, it is prudent to check out certain things about your body at regular intervals, like weight, blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol. It’s prudent to investigate certain areas of your body (like breasts, lung, heart, and colon) at the appropriate age and according to your degree of risk due to such things as family history and environmental factors. It is often wise to check certain things more than once a year. It all depends.

The “Annual Physical” is a good way not only to look closely at your body’s health, but also to ask us what your own specific needs and recommendations would be for prevention and maintenance. Everybody is different, and every “body” is unique. Your annual physical may be more or less involved and complicated that someone else’s. We can help you with your own personal wellness plan.
